While still a teenager, Donny (Adam Sandler) fathered a son named Todd (Andy Samberg) and raised him as a single parent until Todd's 18th birthday, when he cut the youth loose. Now, after years of estrangement, Donny unexpectedly shows up on the eve of Todd's wedding, sending the poor young man's life into a tailspin. Donny is desperate to reconnect with his son, but he must now deal with the repercussions of the bad parenting skills he employed in the past.
